Browns Continue to Roll vs. Cannons

The Browns have won three in a row and four of the last five. In the 4 wins, the Browns have outscored opponents 53 to 8 with the only loss coming to the rival Reds 3-2.
Pitcher Burley Burns got the start on the mound and went 6 innings allowing 6 hits, no earned runs and 5 strikeouts. Eric Cummings pitched the final 3 innings while striking out 5 to earn his first save of the season.
The Browns offense was led by 2B Raul Villarreal who had 4 hits and 2 RBI, LF Evan Martoia who had 2 hits including a 3 run homerun. Alex Nicolov, Brett Lampiasi, Burley Burns and Chris Schack also added 2 hits each.
The Browns will next face the Wolverines on Sunday June 22nd, 9am at Denver East HS.
