The Browns defeated the 11-1 Denver Bulls by the score of 10-2 at Colorado Academy. The Browns played shorthanded with starters Chris Campassi, Luke Klingensmith, Raul Villarreal and Evan Martoia all out of the lineup.
Matt Repplinger, JT Bricker and new addition Jordan Bruns filled in and stepped up in a big way to lead the Browns to their fifth straight victory. The Browns defense was flawless behind starting pitcher Gino Grasso who pitched 8 innings and allowed only 2 runs.
SS Brett Lampiasi continues to own the Bulls. Lampiasi hit a 2-run homerun and added a double. Both Grasso and Lampiasi are former Denver Bulls. CF Burley Burns extended his hit streak to 12 games.
The Browns are now 8-4 and face the Colorado Grizzlies next Sunday at Denver East HS.
