The Browns beat rival Colorado Reds on Sunday 4-0. Both teams were 7-1 and tied for 1st place in the NABA Elite Wood Bat League. The Browns sit alone in 1st place at the halfway point of 2010 season.
The story of the day was LHP Jeremiah Batla who pitched a complete game shutout allowing only 5 hits and striking out 13. Batla is now 6-0 on the year and continues to step up for the Browns. Veterans Chris Campassi, Evan Martoia and Trent Kutler all had 2 hits on the day. Campassi and Kutler lead the team with 17 hits each.
The Browns are now 8-1 and are off for the 4th of July weekend.
