The Browns picked up two wins this weekend with a 14-2 victory over the Mightys on Saturday and a 10-6 win on Sunday against the Rox. In game one, Dan Kozloski got his 1st start on the mound pitching a complete game with 9 strikeouts in the win. Kozloski was also 3 for 5 at the plate with 4 RBIs giving him a team leading 17 on the season. RF Trevor Hammer also added 2 hits and 4 RBI on the day.
In game two the Browns struggled to score early and were down 5-0 going into the 4th inning. The Browns would cut the lead to 5-4 with a 2-run double from DH Matthew Repplinger. The Browns would go on to score two runs in each the 7th, 8th and 9th innings to secure the 10-6 win. LHP Jeremiah Batla pitched a complete game to earn his 8th win of the season.
Second baseman Trent Kutler continues to swing a hot bat for the Browns with 3 hits and 2 RBIs. Kutler is batting .453 and leads the Browns with 29 hits. Kutler also has a 14 game hitting streak this season and is four hits away from breaking the single season hit record for the Browns (32), set by C Chris Campassi in 2007 and Burley Burns in 2008. Newcomer Jason Livernois is batting .539 in three games with the Browns, going 7-13 with 6 RBI. 3B Dakota Granzella had a great weekend scoring eight runs and stealing seven bases in the two games.
