The Browns outscored the Cannons and Grizzlies 21-1 this weekend to improve to 16-1. LHP Jeremiah Batla pitched a complete game shutout on Saturday against the Cannons with 15 K’s to improve to 9-0 and RHP Gino Grasso pitched 6 innings on Sunday to get the win and improve to 6-1. The Browns have allowed only 58 runs in 17 games this season while scoring 146. Three games remain in the regular season before the playoffs start on Sept. 12th.
The Browns hold the number one seed followed by the Colorado Reds at 15-2. With two wins this weekend the Browns will clinch the #1 seed going into the playoffs which start on September 12th. Brows are set to face the 13-4 Red Sox this Saturday 4pm at Machebeuf High School.
