Batla Throws No-Hitter, Browns Win 7th Straight thumbnail

The Browns continued their winning ways Sunday with a 10-0 win over the Nuggets and increasing their win streak to 7. Browns LHP Jeremiah Batla was on point from the start throwing the first no-hitter in Browns history. Batla allowed only three baserunners all day, two by errors by SS Dakota Granzella and one by fielders choice. Batla struck out 8 in the game and is now 4-0 on the season with 56 K’s and a 2.45 ERA. Batla is now 16-1 since joining the Browns in 2010.

Offensively the Browns were led by 2B Trent Kutler who 3-for-4 and now leads the Browns with a .412 average. Browns 3B Matthew Jerebker hit his 1st HR as a Denver Brown, a three-run shot in the 3rd inning. CF Tyson Martinez and 1B Dan Kozloski added two hits each to round out the offense.

Next up the Browns will face the Grizzlies. They previously faced off on opening day with the Grizzlies taking the win 4-1. Come out this Sunday and support Denver Browns baseball.
