Browns shut out Nuggets, Improve to 6-0 thumbnail

On a day where offense was limited, the Browns were able to pull off a 1-0 victory with flawless defense, clutch pitching and a solo homerun in the 5th inning from 19 year old 3B Dakota Granzella.

The Browns were held to 3 hits by an outstanding pitching performance from the Nuggets right hander but the Browns pitching and defense were the story of the day. SS Jared Lamberston, CF Tyson Martinez and 2B Trent Kutler all made diving plays at key times in the game to secure the 1-0 win.

Starting pitcher Gino Grasso pitched 3 1/3 scoreless innings before leaving the game with an elbow injury but LHP Jeremiah Batla came in to hold the Nuggets scoreless for 4 2/3 innings to earn the win.

The Browns are now 6-0 and are off for Memorial Day weekend but will be back in action on June 6th against the Mightys.
